Even with the thick, penalizing rough, the team of Chris Hyten, PGA, Assistant Professional at @castlepinesgolfclub and Graham Cliff, PGA, Director of Golf of @coloradogolfclub proved to be unfazed. The PGA is the largest working sports association in the world. It was created in 1916 and is centered around the game of golf and mentorship. Today we got back to these basics. A huge thank you to Steve David, PGA Head Professional at Denver Country Club, who led our first Colorado PGA Mentorship event. Steve encouraged the next generation of leaders to differentiate themselves to advance their careers. Last night Colorado PGA Professional and Director of Golf @coloradonationalgolfclub Matt Schalk was honored as the 2023 @coloradogolfhalloffame Golf Person of the Year. Matt had a record playing year in 2022 and continues to impress on the golf course with two first place finishes in 2023. In 2022 Matt separated himself from 263 other club professionals nationwide leading to a win at the @pga National Senior PGA Championship. Matt joins Colorado Hall of Famer Bill Loeffler as the only Coloradans to have won this national championship. Congratulations Matt! Well deserved!
