In-person events through April 30 impacted because of coronavirus.
Out of an abundance of caution for our PGA Members, Section Staff and all our families, as well as our desire to play an active role in helping to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) across Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota, the Colorado Section has suspended immediately all In-Person Activities through April 30. This includes meetings, tournaments and Golf In Schools programs. We will continue to closely monitor State and Federal Government Guidance to determine our best way forward.
In the mean time, we will proceed with a couple Virtual Events:
- Colorado PGA Section Spring Business Meeting, Monday, April 6
- Colorado PGA West Chapter Spring Business Meeting, Thursday, April 16
We plan to host these events using GoToWebinar. This will allow us to conduct our Business Meetings and Elections, while still being able to offer our registered PGA Members two (2) MSRs for virtually attending each meeting.
Unfortunately, we will not be offering the Education portion of our meetings virtually but have rescheduled our Spring Meeting Keynote Speaker, Chris McChesney, for our Fall Membership Meeting on Monday, October 12.
More complete details on how to register and attend these Virtual Meetings will be available next week.
The Teaching and Coaching Summit scheduled for Thursday, April 23 will also be rescheduled.
Additionally, we are currently working with the PGA of America and our Colorado Golf Coalition to develop best practices to assist you in providing a safe and healthy environment at your facilities.
If you have any questions, I would ask you to contact our Executive Director Eddie Ainsworth, firstname.lastname@example.org or 719-761-6125, and he and our Section Staff will gladly assist you.
Stay Safe and let’s all do our part to help in keeping the Coronavirus (COVID-19) from spreading.
