During the Colorado PGA’s Virtual Spring Business Meeting, it was mentioned that the Board of Directors was working with the PGA of America to create options with which our Colorado PGA Professionals can pay their annual Membership Dues. We appreciate the collaboration between the PGA Headquarters Team and our 41 Sections to help us all get through this crisis. This collaboration has allowed us to extend two options for PGA Dues Payments through October 31, 2020, without any penalty or late fee.
The Two Payment Options For Our Colorado Members Are:
- Pay your Full Dues amount any time beginning in June through October 31, 2020, without penalty or late fees.
- Pay your Dues in Two Installments.
- Make one payment for the Section amount only any time beginning in June through October 31, 2020, without penalty or late fees.
- Make a second payment for the National, Life, Liability and MAP amount any time beginning in June through October 31, 2020, without penalty or late fees.
SECTION GOAL: As discussed during the meeting and in working with our Finance Committee, the Colorado Section has developed a Cash Flow Budget where we will need 150 Colorado PGA Members to pay their Section dues by July 31 to assist in maintaining Section Operations without having to dip into the Section’s Reserve Funds.
Those unable to pay the full-dues amount by October 31, 2020, will be moved to non-active status and can pay their full dues by June 30, 2021, to “re-establish” Membership (per the Bylaws), and the PGA of America will waive the late and re-establish fees.
Those not able to re-establish by June 30, 2021, will need to reinstate their Membership. If the one-time reinstatement option has been previously used, approval has already been granted for a second reinstatement for those affected by COVID-19.
Bottom line here is that we are hoping to have enough Colorado PGA Members fortunate enough to assist our Section by paying their dues by July 31. For the rest of our Members, allowing you time to pay your dues in full by October 31 will, hopefully, help to ease the financial burden you may be experiencing during this time.
Please know that you are not in this alone. We are here for you and together, we will all get through this. If you need someone to talk to, please feel free to give us a call as we would gladly offer any assistance we can.
