2014 Southworth Senior PGA Professional National Championship

April 15 - 18, 2014

 

The 25th Senior PGA Professional Championship takes place April 15-18, 2014 at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The Championship, originally slated for last October, was postponed due to a week of inclement weather in Northern Virginia.

 

A total of 264 PGA Professionals, who are at least 50 years of age, have qualified to compete in the Championship through one of the 41 PGA Sections. The low 70 scorers and ties after the second round, April 16, advance to the final 36 holes, Thursday and Friday, at the Wanamaker Course at PGA Golf Club.

Colorado PGA to Partner with PGA H.O.P.E

May 7 | The Golf Club at Bear Dance

The Colorado PGA is teaming up with the PGA Foundation to provide specialized training to Colorado PGA Professionals on the PGA Foundation’s PGA H.O.P.E. program, Wednesday, May 7, at the Golf Club at Bear Dance. David Windsor, PGA Instructor from the Adaptive Golf Academy will lead the instruction/training. David is from Tampa/Sarasota area and has been involved with teaching individuals with disabilities for several years. He is invoved in and conducts programs for Veterans with Disabilities through the Tampa VA Medical Center.

Southworth Senior PGA Professional National Championship Underway

The 2013 Southworth Senior PGA Professional National Championship presented by Mercedes-Benz USA is underway in Port St. Lucie. Jim Woodward of Oklahoma City will finally get to defend his title, something he was unable to do when inclement weather prevented play last October.
