Foundation Supports Growth of the Game Programs through Grants

$24,500 in Grants Awarded to 12 Organizations in 2010

The Colorado PGA Foundation Board of Directors in May approved 2010 Growth of the Game Grants totaling $24,500 to help support the following organizations. These funds are used to assist in the funding of instruction of course/facility access.

♦ Eaton Country Club Junior Golf

♦ First tee of Denver

♦ First Tee of Green Valley Ranch

♦ First Tee of Pueblo

29 Sons, Daughters, Grandchildren of Colorado PGA Professionals Receive $34,500 in Total Scholarships in 2010

In 2010 a total of 29 children or grandchildren of Colorado PGA Members were eligible for the PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship.

Six (6) children received a scholarship from the PGA of America National Scholarship Fund. In addition, the local Colorado Section PGA awarded Financial Assistance for the children/grandchildren of Colorado Section PGA Professionals: four (4) received the prestigious Colorado Section Scholarship named in honor of Marion Pfluger, a Past President of the Colorado Section; and nineteen (19) received the Colorado Section Scholarship.

The goal of our Foundation is to provide as much assistance as possible to all of our Colorado Section PGA Family Members who meet the criteria for the Scholarship Fund. Congratulations to these outstanding students:
